The micro-brewing industry in Atlantic Canada is exploding. In NS alone, craft breweries accounted for over $4 million in sales at NSLC outlets in 2013-14 (Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation), and it’s estimated that over 200 jobs have been created within this sector.
This workshop has been developed for craft/micro-brewers, and those associated with this fast-growing industry in the Atlantic Region. We have assembled local, national and international industry practitioners, along with regulators, specialists, researchers, hops-growers, critics and others passionate about growing this sector. Along with several keynote presentations, panel discussions, and a researcher-company connector event, there will be plenty of time to network with fellow brew masters and beer aficionados. The day is capped off with a networking social, including a beer-tasting event, and we invite you to join us in sharing your very best at this event.
This event is sponsored by Acadia University, Springboard Atlantic, Atlantic Wine Institute, Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick, and NSERC.

A Word on the Research Connector:
The Research Connector is an opportunity to bring together Industry and Researchers to form new and exciting partnerships. The goal is simple: companies find researchers to help solve their challenges and researchers find new partners and great projects to work on.
The format is simple:
15 researchers and funding organizations each get 5 minutes and 1 slide to pitch their research expertise or funding programs.
We build in networking time so you can make new connections.
And we follow it up with an evening social where you can continue the conversation.
Ready to Pitch?
If you are interested in pitching simply choose YES when submitting your RSVP. We will contact you directly with the template and additional instructions. The spots will fill up quickly so make sure to register early.
